and I can’t sleep now.
My nightly routine starts between 8 and 9. I make myself a cup of tea and put whatever fruit I have in my house in a bowl. I take this fruit and tea into the living room and watch TV with my mom. What’s on the TV doesn’t matter, but it’s usually ABC, TBS, or whatever channel Friends is on. At 10:00 my mom goes to bed and I change the channel to Nick@Nite. I watch two episodes of Full House while I finish my tea. After Full House, I get ready for bed. I wash my face, brush my teeth, put up my hair, and check the social media before I fall asleep. This has become such a habit that if something is messed up, it throws me off.
FOR EXAMPLE: Tonight, instead of Full House, Nick@Nite was playing Nashville. I
haven’t watched Full House and subsequently can’t sleep, which is why I’m writing this at 11:30 at night.
I would LOVE to change that. Here’s my ideal nightly routine:
8:00: Take of makeup, wash face, and put my hair up.
8:30: Make tea and eat fruit.
9:00: Watch TV/YouTube videos. Write a blog post.
9:30: Read for at least 45 minutes.
10:15: Brush my teeth.
10:30: Write in my journal about my day/feelings/thoughts.
11:00: Get in bed and sleep until I feel like waking up (That last part is an IDEAL dream but not reality because of work and school).
I am going to try and change my nightly routine to look more like my ideal one instead of what I actually do.
